Helping you create optimal health
Dr. Michelle Durkin grew up in a small community outside of Belleville, ON. She attended the University of Guelph and obtained a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biomedical Science. With this medical background, she went on to study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and graduated as a licensed doctor of naturopathic medicine in 2003.
Dr. Durkin founded her clinic, the Quinte Naturopathic Centre, on Church Street in Belleville and has attracted a team of health care providers with a common vision. As a Naturopathic Doctor she is very committed to providing excellent individualized health care in a warm and professional environment.
Her mission is to create multi-generational health by teaching and coaching patients to optimize their quality of health on a physical, emotional, and mental level, using the modalities of naturopathic medicine and modern diagnostic techniques. She is also a professional Bowenwork® practitioner.
Dr. Daralyn Bates was born and raised in the Quinte area. After completing a pre-medical program at the University of Waterloo (HonBSc), she became intrigued by languages and life abroad. Over the next decade, between lengthy stints in Spain and Japan, Daralyn completed a BA in Speech Sciences/Linguistics at the University of British Columbia. Her exposure to other cultures and their concepts of health brought her back home to pursue a rewarding career in Naturopathic Medicine.
Daralyn (HonBSc, BA, ND) is a graduate of the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia where she received the Spirit of Boucher Award for overall excellence. In addition, she is a certified Bowenwork® practitioner.
Of the six tenets of Naturopathic Medicine, “Doctor as Teacher” is the tenet Dr. Bates takes to heart the most.
