It's here already...that time of year where I'm back from my holidays feeling refreshed and energized . I hope you had a wonderful August with some time to recharge as well!
The beginning of the school year always feels like a new start and this year I want to help you make healthy breakfast choices with your kids or grandkids.
And who doesn't love pancakes?
This recipe is kid (and adult) friendly as well as easy to make.
It is grain-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free. In fact, it's a recipe that I include on my Belly Fat Detox program that I run every January (the other new year!)
I hope you try it and enjoy!
Healthy Eating Tip - Make a large batch and freeze them in between parchment paper. Then when ready to eat pop in the toaster!
Now I would love to hear from you! What is your favourite healthy back to school recipe? Leave a comment below and I'll be back next week with another edition of Doctor as Teacher Tuesday!

I love doing plantain pancakes. I put basically same ingredients but use a plantain and put it in blender and they cook up light and fluffy. Less banana flavour which we found could overpower the pancakes. The plantain is a bit more subtle. Plantains are quite reasonable in price too. Just my two cents worth!
Great suggestion Marilyn!
We make the same kind of pancakes, though we would never use chocolate chips. Too much added sugar in them. Instead we mix coco powder with heavy cream – our go-to chocolate sauce. It’s great.
Lately we’ve been making sweet potato Rosti just to change it up, and they go really well with fried eggs!
The kids love the almond flour pancakes I make. There are a number of recipes on the net. I substitute apple sauce or yogourt for one of the eggs because it can be too much of an egg taste. I was wondering how much egg taste there is to these banana pancakes?
Tastes more like banana.
Just made these and they’re delicious!
Glad to hear!
Yummy 😋
