We are happy to announce our newest team member here at QNC - Scott Allin, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Scott has been practicing in Belleville as an RMT since 2013.
Scott was born and raised in Belleville, Ontario. After earning a Physics degree from Wilfred Laurier University, he attended the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Cambridge, Ontario and graduated in 2013. While practicing in Belleville, Scott enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) in Toronto in 2014. He completed his in-class studies in May of 2019 and is currently working on his thesis project for the CCO, in order to become an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
Scott's treatments are applied using a wide variety of manual therapy techniques including; myofascial release, neuromuscular facilitation, joint mobilization, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and manual lymphatic drainage. Scott's treatments are uniquely tailored to each patient based on their treatment goals and a clinical assessment.
Massage therapy can increase mobility and decrease pain, improving the quality of life for many people. Osteopathy is a gentle manual therapy that takes into account the interconnectedness of all the body systems (ex. musculoskeletal, immune/lymphatic, cardiovascular, etc.). The goal is to treat the primary problem, in order to relieve symptoms. Scott incorporates many osteopathic techniques into his treatments according to the needs of each client. He begins every session with an assessment to ensure that he provides the best care possible.
"It would be a privilege to work with you and to be part of the wholistic healthcare that you are looking for."
Scott is available for appointments Mon 11am-8pm, Tues/Wed/Thurs 10 am - 7pm, and Fri 10am - 2pm.
