We all know about brushing our teeth, but what about brushing your skin?
Dry skin brushing is a simple yet very effective technique for improving circulation, promoting lymphatic drainage, and preventing cellulite.
(I talk about the importance of moving lymph around on day 3 in my Apple a Day series - sign up HERE)
So how exactly do you brush your skin?
All you need to do is take a soft, natural sponge and before your shower, “brush” your skin in a circular motion from your feet to your heart, and then from your hands to your heart.
The pressure should be so light you can barely feel it.
This encourages the movement of lymph so your body's own sewer system doesn't get blocked up.
Remember to keep your sponge in the shower so you don't forget to use it!
Happy brushing 🙂
Now I would love to hear from you! What else do you do to move your lymph? Leave a comment below and I’ll be back next week with another edition of Doctor as Teacher Tuesday!
